Shades Mountain Elementary School music teacher Meredith DeVore has been honored with the 2025 Robert E. Wright, Jr. Award for Exceptional Service, one of the Alabama chapters of the American Choral Directors Association’s highest recognitions.
The award honors educators who have made a lasting impact on choral music through outstanding service, leadership, and dedication to the profession.
DeVore received the award during the Alabama ACDA Summer Conference at the University of Alabama.
Her achievement reflects a continued commitment to excellence in music education and brings statewide recognition to both her work and the Shades Mountain Elementary School community.
