Hoover City Schools recently named new assistant principal leadership across the district. Each of these educators brings valuable experience, strong leadership, and a passion for education.
Darrius Taylor, Berry Middle
With 18 years in education, Taylor returns to HCS with a strong background in teaching, coaching, and school leadership. He previously spent nine years at Spain Park High School as a social studies teacher and assistant football coach and most recently served as Assistant Principal at Leeds High School, where he supported daily school operations, student discipline and restorative practices, teacher growth, and academic initiatives.
Lindsay Morgan, Shades Mountain Elementary
Morgan brings a strong passion for supporting students, teachers, and families through collaborative leadership and 15 years in education. She most recently served as Assistant Principal at Trace Crossings Elementary and has experience as an exceptional education teacher and instructional leader. She also helped create a partnership with Samford that provides future educators with classroom experience opportunities and was recognized with the Samford University Learning for Life Award for her work supporting the program.
Logan Greene, Simmons Middle
Greene joins Simmons from Berry Middle, where he served for the past five years teaching English, language arts, and social studies across all middle school grade levels. With 19 years in education, he brings experience in instruction and student support. In addition to the classroom, he has participated in HCS’s Future Administrator Program and presented on best teaching practices at educational conferences and institutions across the country.
Alyson Patton, Trace Crossings Elementary
With 14 years in education, Patton brings experience in exceptional education and instructional leadership. She most recently served as an exceptional education teacher at Bluff Park Elementary. Prior to joining HCS, she served in leadership roles, including mentor to new teachers and parent involvement coordinator. She has helped strengthen family communication and support positive school communities, and she was recognized as UAB’s School of Education Outstanding Master’s Student.
