Carrie Busby announced her upcoming retirement to faculty and staff, effective July 1. “I am so thankful for Carrie’s leadership at Mountain Brook High School for nearly a decade,” says Superintendent Dr. Dicky Barlow. “During her time as a school administrator (both Principal and Assistant Principal), Carrie has led our high school community with a servants heart, keen decision making, a positive attitude and much more.” The Board of Education also approved a recommendation to name Lars Porter as the next principal. Lars has 8 years of experience in Mountain Brook as a classroom teacher, technology coordinator, and assistant principal in the district. Before coming to Mountain Brook, Lars spent 6 years in Homewood as a teacher and head track coach.
