Sweet-and-Sticky Marshmallow Treats
These simple recipes are egg-citing to make and delicious to devour!
Easter Bars
- 12 ounces white chocolate
- 2-3 cups mini-marshmallows
- Sprinkles
- Parchment paper
Line a tray with parchment paper.
Melt the white chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler, stirring often.
Stir in the mini-marshmallows until well coated. (Don’t overmix or they’ll start to melt.)
Pour the mixture onto the baking tray and flatten with a spatula. (Coat the back of the spatula with baking spray to avoid it sticking to the mixture.)
Decorate with colorful sprinkles.
Chill in the freezer until set, then allow the bark to come to room temperature before cutting into squares, or use cookie cutters to make into fun shapes.
Layered Peeps Treats
You’ll need
- Assorted colors of Peeps (about 4 (3‑ounce) packages)
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 6 cups crispy rice cereal, divided
Line a loaf pan with foil and lightly spray with cooking spray.
Separate Peeps by color. In a microwave‑safe bowl, melt one color of Peeps with a tablespoon of butter for about 45 seconds, then stir until smooth.
Stir in 1½ cups of cereal until fully coated, then press layer firmly into the prepared pan.
Repeat melting, mixing, and pressing with each remaining Peep color to create layered bars.
Let cool completely at room temperature, then slice and serve.
